Getting to the Real You

Psalm 139 13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
1013596_S.jpg    you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.

As we move closer to the new year the pressure is on again. What are we going to do next?  What is that thing God puts on repeat in your head daily and you try your best to suppress it? Did you know that you have God’s gift to the world trapped on the inside of you? You are a magnificent creation, full of life and potential!

Romans 8

22-23 All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance.

Not only do we wait for what is within us to come out but the world is waiting to. My goal is to draw that out of people this year and beyond.

Did you know that you are made in the image of God? I want to hold up the mirror so you can get a glimpse of your true self. The you God says you are is simply amazing and unique. You are God’s workmanship made for good works!”

If you are full of ideas then you have the  traits of the all mighty God showing up in you right now. 1015715_S.jpg

Did you know that you were created to be a blessing? You are so special to God he said, “there is a problem in the world and I am going to send my solution!”   1013968_S.jpg >>>>>>>>>Enter you.  You are an answer to what the world is in need of. No one will be able to make your contribution quite like you. They could copy but it would be an obvious, cheap, knock off version of you.

Today it is time to take your vision out of the closet and dust it off. What makes us tuck them away? Today I invite you to use that beautiful brain and think.

You have so much potential in your deepest parts and I am here to draw it out. To expose you to your true self. I have some questions.

1264695_S.jpg

How much further will you go without fulfilling your hopes and dreams?

How long will you allow your dreams to be held hostage by the world’s standards.

What barriers, real or imagined, are keeping you from pursuing your dreams?

Who are you? Why are you hear? What is your purpose?

Who determines what you do with your  time?

Who is in charge of your daily life?

What things are necessary for you to thrive?

Who are you following?

Who is following you?

What is your value?

How do you spend your most valuable asset (time?)

I am convinced that as we walk in the direction of our creator we are going to be introduced to a self we never knew existed. Who would have thought you were in there the whole time! I’m excited to see where your vision takes you!

Galatians 5

22-23 But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

The best part of being the real you is that you lose the desire to compete with anyone else. When we are this free we can help our neighbor to reach the same goals. 1015312_S.jpg

Remain Hopeful and Keep Moving!

Tips for transitioning well from 2018 to 2019.

There are these two things, then, that cannot change and about which God cannot lie. So we who have found safety with him are greatly encouraged to hold firmly to the hope placed before us. We have this hope as an anchor for our lives. It is safe and sure, and goes through the curtain of the heavenly temple into the inner sanctuary.
-Hebrews 6:18‭-‬19 GNTD

Have you ever had an itching feeling that you are supposed to do something big?

What’s stopping you?

Let us consider Jesus who knew his purpose and was willing to fulfill it by any means necessary. He was lied on, betrayed, talked about, and misused but he never abandoned his purpose. God called Him to do something epic and he accepted the challenge.

Jesus said these things. Then, raising his eyes in prayer, he said: Father, it’s time. Display the bright splendor of your Son So the Son in turn may show your bright splendor. You put him in charge of everything human So he might give real and eternal life to all in his charge. And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, The one and only true God, And Jesus Christ, whom you sent. I glorified you on earth By completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do. And now, Father, glorify me with your very own splendor, The very splendor I had in your presence Before there was a world.
John 17:1‭-‬5 MSG

Improve on what God has given you. Stay focused and remain in the press! Be rare. Be distinguished. Be set apart. Be holy.

Swing the bat!
Rip the wall paper!
Stir the pot!
Shake the earth!
Whatever you do just get started!
Start well!

Develope a ritual of good habits.
Read your bible, fast, pray, and be who God says you are!

You don’t have to run your ideas past everybody! The vision is for you.
If you are unsure run it by the one who gave it.

Time is flying. The best time to start is now.

God has plans for you! Pursue him and you will recover all!

Whatever happens, happens. Its destiny is fixed. You can’t argue with fate. Ecclesiastes 6:10 MSG
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

The Glory Zone

Did you know that you are a carrier of the Glory?

What is the weight of this verse to you?

When you are at your best you are displaying God’s glory. This is an act of worship. It extends beyond Sunday songs. It is where you realize you are an instrument of Heaven ready to be used by the Master Musician himself.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
Romans 12:1 NLT

Being a living sacrifice means being a vessel fit for use in the Kingdom of God. When I think of a vessel I think of somthing being used to transport from one place to another. If I want my goods to arrive safely so they can be used for their intended purpose I will not place them in just any old thing.

Carriers of the glory walk like they know who they are.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. [Exod. 19:5, 6.]
1 Peter 2:9 AMPC

Operate from the glory zone asking God, “how do you want to get the glory out of me? I’m ready to see what you have placed on the inside manifested on the outside.”

Glory Zone

The glory zone is when you are at your best and you feel most alive. It is the thing your mind tries to discourage you from doing, fearing you may go into over kill. What made you want to reign in being at your best at any given moment? Fear, stress, worry? These are robbers of the glory.

In the glory zone I run with purpose. Because of the joy I have I am constantly refreshed instead of tired.

Don’t you know that as a carrier you are unique? Did you know that as a carrier you are beautiful? Did you know you are God’s workmanship, fit for good use?

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Psalms 139:14 KJV

When I think of the glory zone I think of thrive. There is a certain capacity God has created us for and anytime we are carrying less than what we were created for (or what we not created for) we get weary. The challenge is to work in the glory zone even when life is throwing blows that would cause us to slow down.

How do we find strength to keep running? Thankfully God foresaw theses days and declared:

I will refresh those who are weary and will satisfy with food everyone who is weak from hunger.
Jeremiah 31:25 GNT
