Resting In His Promises

Some days I need to manage my feelings more than others. The enemy wants nothing more than to play them up in my weakest moments, but I have the reassurance of God’s word to help me grasp the hope he provides. Instead of complaining I will say what he says. His promises for me are a sure thing. When Jesus was tempted He did not respond with how he felt but only with the word of God. Jesus gave an example for how we are to respond. “It is written…”
I want to share the comfort of the words that lift me up in my lowest moments. Say them aloud and experience his grace for this day.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV

When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way.
Psalm 142:3 NIV

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
Psalm 119:50 NIV

…we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.
Psalm 66:12 NIV

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NIV

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19 NLT

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11 NIV

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
