Heaven On My Mind

And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ -Matthew 10:7

I want you to get out there and walk—better yet, run!—on the road God called you to travel. I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you do this with humility and discipline—not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences. -Ephesians 4:1-3 MSG

When I first accepted Christ as my savior I wanted to retire and relax on an island until he beamed me up. I know now that this is not a trip I will take alone, but I am now responsible for bringing as many people with me as possible. God didn’t only love me but he loves the whole world. I am needed right here, right now. Indeed heaven will be amazing, but more than that it is open access to anyone who will believe. So I take the charge with honor; to hit the ground running to tell people the good news. One day we will experience paradise together.

And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”- Luke 23:43 ESV
