Shout Louder, Run Faster, Love Stronger, Press Harder
Sometimes I get the urge to slow down or decrease my stride when it comes to the things of God.
I hear things like, “someone is already doing what God told you to do so you might as well slow down. You are not experienced, you are not known, you are insignificant. Do you really think you can change anything?”
Of course, I recognize the voice of the adversary who would love to kill my destiny using death by comparison.
In these moments I know that I must press a little harder to move forward and not stand still. I must run faster even though sometimes the pain of my current circumstance is smothering me. I love with more intensity because I know that it is through unity that greater purpose is accomplished. I have to shout louder the promises of God because I know that the word of God is my weapon of defense against the goals of the enemy.
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
